It's a pity that this brand has fallen so far behind, because already the first puffs show its genius. The perfectly balanced, immensely elegant cigar marries with a light hand opulent floral scent and lovely honey sweetness with the delicate tickle of oriental spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon, a fruity-ethereal touch with the finely roasted aroma of freshly ground coffee beans. In the exciting course of the smoke, carried by a veritable flood of constantly alternating details, a malty, tart-sweet cocoa tone increasingly asserts itself as the basic framework, and the overall medium-bodied magnificent cigar becomes somewhat stronger.

La Gloria Cubana
La Gloria Cubana ist ein wenig bekanntes Juwel unter den Habanos-Marken. Nichtsdestotrotz kann sie auf eine lange Geschichte zurückblicken. Im Jahre 1885 gegründet, lässt der Name klar die Herkunft der Marke erkennen. Seit über einhundert Jahren hat sie eine kleine, aber loyale Gefolgschaft unter erfahrenen Zigarrenliebhabern. Im Jahr 1954 wurde die Marke zusammen mit der Marke Bolívar von der Familie Cifuentes gekauft. Die Produktion wechselte anschließend in die Partagás-Manufaktur, wo sie bis heute gefertigt wird. Die Marke La Gloria Cubana besticht durch ihre elegante Präsentation, besonders in der Serie Medaille d’Or. Leider kamen die langen, schlanken Formate dieser Serie mit der Zeit aus der Mode und so ist heute nur noch ein Format dieser Marke im Programm - die Medaille d'Or No.4. Die Mischung, die aus Einlage- und Umblättern der Tabakanbauzone Vuelta Abajo komponiert wird, ist mittelkräftig und bietet ausgewogene Nuancen in Geschmack und Aroma.
