Worth knowing
Just like Deutsche Bahn, Cuba is now celebrating the "new" year of the tiger in the Chinese zodiac with this spectacularly beautiful collector's item. 18 cigars of the venerable H.Upmann brand in the Toro-like "Segundos" format are stored in a ravishing red and gold box, shaped like a Buddhist temple building
.
Flavours
In Chinese colour symbolism, red stands for summer, fire, luck and prosperity, yellow as the colour of the emperor for the centre, balance and harmony. So the dreamlike packaging already refers to the aromatics! The best available leaves of the Magnum blend combine in Zen Buddhist harmony to create a brilliantly balanced flavour panorama that embraces nutty, melting umami roast aromas as well as the variety of finely spicy wood notes typical of the brand. A noble scent of leather appears as well as the sweetness of forest honey; towards the end, the aficionado indulges in hazelnuts and Turkish mocha. Grandiose!

H. Upmann
